According to Amnesty International, more than 200 citizens have died after being tasered by the police. Many critics of tasers argue that tasers are being used on citizens very often and they are not being used as a last resort. In some cases, the police have tasered young children, senior citizens and citizens that have been sleeping. Type in the word taser on google, then search the news section and you will finf out that tasers are bing used to liberally on citizens.

Currently police departments have little restrictions on when and how they can taser a person. Non-violent citizens, elderly citizens, and even handicapped citizens have been tasered by the police. Currently as it stands, most police departments have a policy that states that police officers can taser a citizen for just doing nothing wrong but disobeying an order. Critics are mad because more than 200 citizens have died after being tasered by the police. Many citizens want a taser policy that says tasers can only be used in deadly situations.
